OUR MISSION: “CHANGING LIVES FOR VETS”

We are committed to honoring our nation’s Veterans by offering an alternative to despair, disharmony, destruction and homelessness to a healthy, harmonious and prosperous lifestyle.

OUR VISION: To build a supportive community where each bed provides the opportunity to be coupled with life and business sessions, inherently providing a fresh start—a safe space and path of dignity, stability, and renewal.

THE CLFV STORY:

Back in the summer of 2010 there was a young man who told a veteran he was a musician. Yes, a bona-fide RockStar in his words. He had no job, no money, no car and obviously no home. The lifestyle of getting high and partying had consumed his whole being. The Veteran was providing affordable housing for men who had lost connection with the real world. The only space left in The “New Life” house was a couch in the living room. Thankfully for him, as later discovered, the RockStar’s New Life began on that couch…

Fast forward, to the Spring of 2024, the RockStar on the couch… unbeknownst to him at the time, invited a bona-fide Air Force Veteran to hear his RockStar self perform and experience a day of “Compassionate Care” held at a church school auditorium being provided by an Org. named “Changing Lives” in Boca Raton Florida. Apparently this Org. was greatly inspired and supported by a foundation founded by Jim and Marta Batmasian of Boca.

The Vet met many great spirited volunteers and continued to attend this Saturday gathering place. The more the Vet attended, the more he discovered that maybe his decades of ministry in prisons, jails, drug treatment centers etc could bring some value to their mission of helping this culture of disenchanted persons.

As time went on the Vet continued to search for where his experiences and wisdom could be of real service to this culture. The veteran attended advisory meetings, fundraisers and was even invited to attend a church by Mr. Batmasian where the Vet met more great people behind this Org. who equally supported it vision in some way or another.

The Vet sought the creators directions on his own individual path. One day it was revealed to him inspired by Mr. B’s (as he is adoring referred to) desire to expand the reach of “Changing Lives”.

This desired expansion of “Changing Lives” vision and mission led to the forming of a new 501c3 at Mr. B’s insistence and “Changing Lives For Veterans” was born.

The Vet learned that it was actually military appreciation month in May of 2025. The next month, June 2025 CLFV.org was registered in the state of Florida. Hopefully the Heart, Inspiration and Empowerment example of this one man to a Vet is a continuation of a desired legacy that will live way beyond that man living in Boca Raton Fl. back in the spring of 2025, yes, the man who unknowingly inspired the Vet to follow his own spirit.

YES, Veterans are our primary focus, however anyone in need of Hope & Housing is welcome to call and if not us, we may know exactly who CAN help you RE-IGNITE VALOR in your life, regardless of the battle you are in…

MISSION

Changing Lives for Veterans is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization launched in Broward County, Florida, with a mission to serve displaced veterans and men in transition. Our vision is designed to provide stable housing and personalized support services that help each individual reignite their sense of Purpose, Pride, and Personal Valor.

PURPOSE

To provide hope, direction, and housing support to U.S. veterans and vulnerable men who are seeking to transform their lives. We believe that every hero and man deserve a second chance and a pathway to self-sufficiency.

FOUNDERS STORY                                              From Homelessness to Hope and Harmony

CFLV was founded by a proud U.S. Air Force veteran who personally experienced the pain of homelessness—twice.

The first time came in the wake of the 9/11 attacks. As the country grieved, the veteran’s business of 12 years collapsed, and he found himself without his 8-acre ranch home/art studio or clear direction. Despite his military service, he had no idea where to turn – what resources existed to begin the process to stabilize & rebuild his life.

Years later, during the COVID-19 pandemic, history repeated itself. A housing project of 10 years founded by the veteran and meant to empower others was devastated by the new crisis, and once again, the veteran was left without a home. This time, it wasn’t just a personal loss—it was practically a total loss of vision, stability, and hope.

Coupled with his Mynd Hrmny, these experiences became the foundation for this new organization. www.CLFV.org “Changing Lives for Veterans” is not just a nonprofit. It’s a mission born out of lived experience – to ultimately ensure that no veteran is ever left out in the cold or in the dark when it comes to housing, purpose, or direction!

This organization exists to help others reignite their own lives, because every veteran and/or disenfranchised man deserves a new chance & the tools available to make the most of it in the most empowering & impactful fashion!
